I was born in Italy, where I was brought by a wonderful family, started travelling long distances for long periods of time at the age of 17 and never really settled back in my home country. Milan has always felt a bit suffocating, I felt like I couldn't fully nurture my needs and dreams there. Studied International Business at uni and then I quickly moved into working life, starting at Louis Vuitton and then Prada... soon I realized that the corporate career wasn't for me, or at least not at that stage of my life. Something out there was calling me and I had to go after it ... on my own. Went on to do fashion editor/stylist courses at Central Saint Martins in London and after that started my career as freelance editor, journalist, writer, trend and marketing researcher ... ultimately a refined observer.
After many travels around the globe, I'm now settled, at least for the half of the year when I'm not travelling, in Sydney.
In the field of fashion, I've been consulting, writing, reporting and styling now for various years. My editorial clients are scattered around the globe and for most of them I cover art, culture, lifestyle and marketing issues. As I do keep my eyes open and I'm an insatiable curious observer, I also do carry out trend forecasting, cool hunting and marketing research activities for international intelligence agancies.
The Antipodeans was thought out to be a sharing space where I could pitch stories to new and existing clients, as I know they're always so hungry for news and ideas. At the same time, it's an open discussion ground for all of you out there who want to forward you valuable input.
So please continue to visit ... and let us hear your say!
